2010 Honda Pilot
2010 Honda Pilot was launched by design largely unchanged due to a redesign for Honda Pilot 2009 model. This midsize crossover SUV seats eight passengers with seats in row 60/40 split folding second and third. LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring model class again, all with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. This car is competitor of Ford Explorer and Toyota Highlander.
The only powertrain is a 250-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. All the pilot has the Honda Variable Cylinder Management of cylinder deactivation. AWD versions have a button that can be locked at 50/50 front / rear power split. Available safety features include ABS, traction controls, anti-slip system, front airbags, and curtain side airbags. A power tailgate, front and rear-obstacle detection, wireless cell phone link, and navigation systems exclusively for the Touring model. Spy camera is standard on EX-L and Touring. DVD entertainment is available on EX-L and Touring, and versions so equipped are priced as separate models.
Honda Pilot is powered by advanced 24 valve 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine paired with an automatic transmission, electronically-controlled five-speed. Peak output of the engine is 250 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 253 pounds-ft. of torque at 4800 rpm. The “Timing intelligent” Variable Valve and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC ®) valvetrain technology with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) allows the V-6 engine operates in the six-cylinder mode for power and four-and three-cylinder modes for efficiency. Pilot meets stringent California Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV-2) exhaust emissions standards. A fully-automatic Variable Torque Management four-wheel drive system (VTM-4) is available on all models and provide seamless “decision free” implementation of four-wheel drive is needed Pls.
