Toyota in 2010 launched The 2010 Toyota Highlander largely unchanged. Toyota Highlander is a competitor of the Honda Pilot and Ford Explorer. Toyota Highlander is a crossover SUV seats up to seven middle-row seats with three rows of folding chairs and two-bucket. Toyota Highlander Hybrid AWD-only comes in Base and Limited trim and use a 3.3-liter V6 with an electric motor work together for a combined 270 horsepower. Like other Toyota hybrids, it runs on one or two sources of power, depending on driving demands, and requires no plug-in charging. Hybrid has a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that behaves like an automatic. Hybrid’s EV mode enables the driver to put the Highlander in electric-only drive mode for a limited distance. A mode that can be selected by the driver who set the Social Mode throttle inputs for optimum fuel economy is available. Maximum towing capacity is £ 3,500 for the Hybrid and 5000 pounds for a conventional V6 model.
